Hello and welcome! My name is Claire Allen. I am a writer, researcher, and generally curious cat attempting to traverse those nebulous boundaries between intra- and extra-institutional practice. My current interests include social media subcultures and identities, Silicon Valley circlejerks, and the subversion of surveillance technologies.

I am an incoming graduate student at the University of Toronto's Cinema Studies Institute, wherein I hope to further my work on contemporary girlblogging subcultures and their contention with the male gaze.
